Mrs. GREEN APPLE (MGA) has released their sixth original studio album, POPS, on September 30, 2026. The album marks a defining moment in the band's "Phase 3," showcasing their remarkable range and approach to modern pop music. Rather than chasing a single unified sound, POPS embraces the diversity of how people connect with music today — reflecting the band's philosophy that mainstream pop can encompass many genres and styles.
The album features fan-favorite tracks including "lulu." (the opening theme for Season 2 of the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End), "Kaze to Machi / Wind and Town" (theme song for NHK's morning drama The Scent of the Wind), and several new compositions. MGA continues to demonstrate why they are one of Japan's biggest acts — becoming the first J-pop group to surpass 10 billion streams and booking four shows at Tokyo's MUFG Stadium (Japan National Stadium).
