Japanese powerhouse vocalist Ado has released her new single "Raven Sky," the official theme song for the upcoming Japan-U.S. co-production film "Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo," which opens in Japanese theaters on October 23. The song arrived digitally worldwide on October 16, backed by a striking new music video that visualizes the raw power of life and the relentless rhythm of a heartbeat.

"Raven Sky" blends a hard-hitting rock sound with bilingual Japanese-and-English lyrics, built around the idea that even something broken still connects to the future, symbolized by a broken-winged raven soaring against an open sky. The track was composed and arranged by Grammy-winning musician Masanori Takumi, with lyrics co-written by acclaimed producer Kanata Okajima and Grammy-nominated songwriter Seann Bowe.

The release caps a landmark year for the 23-year-old singer, who played a sold-out milestone show at Nissan Stadium, made her Lollapalooza debut in Chicago, and headlined Summer Sonic.
